Meet Dr. Meier

Education and Experience

Steven K. Meier, DDS, MSD, is a skilled orthodontist who offers leading-edge treatments designed to deliver healthy and beautiful smiles.

When meeting with a patient at the initial visit, Dr. Meier carefully assesses the person’s clinical situation and personal treatment goals. Using this information, and the detailed diagnostic imaging, he designs the individual’s treatment plan.

Beyond aesthetics, he focuses on improving the patient’s bite, function, and oral health. This ensures each patient achieves his or her best smile: one that’s healthy, beautiful, and filled with confidence.

Before practicing orthodontics, Dr. Meier attended the University of Texas at Arlington, where he received a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. In 2015, he completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, from which he graduated with honors.

As soon as he finished dental school, Dr. Meier moved to the University of Colorado for a 30-month residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Upon successful completion, he was awarded a Master of Science in dentistry and his specialty certificate in orthodontics.

Continuing Education and Professional Affiliations

Although Dr. Meier’s dental education and postgraduate training provided an excellent foundational understanding of orthodontics, he is constantly seeking to increase his knowledge.

Through continuing education, he stays abreast of the latest advances in technologies, techniques, and materials. He is an Invisalign®-certified provider and highly proficient in the use of clear aligner therapy, having completed the Aligners Intensive Fellowship in 2020.   He is also proficient in the use of traditional braces, and self-ligating braes.

Beyond the Office

When he is not delivering excellent patient care at the office, Dr. Meier enjoys spending time with his wife Lauren and three daughters: Gabi, Grace, and Kate. He also likes hiking and reading, when he can find a spare and quiet moment.
